Scale Calibration & Electrical Test Tagging
Precept Services Pty Ltd has a scale (load cell) installation and calibration department that provides a full installation, maintenance and breakdown service as well as scheduled calibrations in the concrete industry right across both the Victorian country and the metro areas.
We are licensed in this trade and have many years of experience through our exposure to the concrete industry. As part of our scheduled calibration site visits we will calibrate aggregate hoppers, cement hoppers, weighed water and down to the small moisture testing scales. We will calibrate any scale onsite as well as calibrating any water systems through batch line water meters and meters on the agitators.
Currently we carry 3 tonne of certified true weights on a crane truck so we are not reliant on any site machinery. Recently we have just upgraded to a larger truck which will carry a small tele-handler and now 4 tonne of certified weights meaning that site personnel will never be required to drop cement into the hopper for full calibration.
Note: We have the facilities and equipment to carry out calibrations through the “pull down” method but strongly advise against this as it is not a recognised or certified procedure by the National Measurement Institute.
As well as this scale calibration service we also supply electrical test tagging and RCD testing on a site specific schedule based on the standards laid out in AS/NZS 3760:2010.
We carry multiple state of the art testing devices and color code the weather proof tags to suit the month of testing. All tests are recorded and stored electronically with a report sent to site for the clients records. We will continue to store a copy of all tests carried out on our database for future purposes.
Electrical test tagging is a must in all workplaces to comply with today’s safety standards and if not done correctly and methodically then it leaves open the possibility of not only equipment faults but most importantly injury to staff.
