All of the staff at Precept Services Pty Ltd who do the testing and tagging of your electrical appliances are accredited and licensed and will ensure that your assets are compliant under AS/ MZS 3760: 2010. They receive continual training and are always aware of changes in legislation, meaning they will have comprehensive knowledge of the standard your asset must perform to.
Our team will move through your site and conduct testing using a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT), as well as conducting visual tests. They will then decide if each appliance meets the required standard before issuing it with a tag that declares it has been tested and meets requirements. Each tag will carry a unique barcode for future identification.
We will performs tests on: insulation, earth circuits, continuity, functionality, leakage, and polarity wire. We will also check for external damage, abnormalities in plugs, sockets, connectors and power supply cords. We also perform a number of common checks that authorities are likely to undertake, including checks for damaged external power cord sheaths, cords that present tripping hazards, and power board compliance.
Information collected will be stored in our database so you can access the required information whenever you need it. The information can be printed or sent to you electronically.
